Hunza People Never Get Sick, Don’t Get Cancer and Live up to 120 years – Here’s Their Secret

Have you ever heard about Hunza People?

There are many myths and stories about people who lived happy and healthy for a long, long time.

The myths like the one about  the  Holy Grail, or the Fountain of youth are still found quite interesting even after all these years.

But, it is no secret that there are many living people that live longer than the rest of us. There are even people that were never ever sick in their life.

So, what is the secret to a long and healthy life?

To answer that question, I went through the most amazing life stories of those centenarians who were willing to share their wisdom on the net.

To be honest, many of those stories were different and I was not able to make some final conclusion at first about the “secret” I was looking for. I found many different answers and they confused me even more.

For example, E.M from Italy lived 116 years, and she explained that the reason for her long life is staying single. She said: “I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone”, so after her divorce, at the age of 38 she spent the rest of her life single. She even won the battle against anemia by eating two raw eggs a day her whole life.

Another life story about Mushatt- Jones tells about eating fried bacon every single day. A California centenarian told his secret was eating one donut a day…

Then I found out about the life story of C.E, who was born and raised on a farm. She explains that her family and she ate only what they grew and caught. She is still physically active, working out every day together with her friends.

Then, I found out stories about centenarian twins and their secret of getting older together and close as the main reason for their long life…

Confused as I was, I continued searching for the “secret”. An article about the Hunza people took my attention for I began to realize that I am closer to my answer. Hunza people or Hunzas are a population in a mountainous valley in the region of Pakistan.

The many reasons these people took my attention are the following:

1. The literacy rate of Hunza valley is more than 95%- which means that every Hunza has at least a high school diploma;

2. The Hunza region is home to people of four ethnicities;

3. There are two different religion in the Hunza region and people are divided between them, but;

4. The lifestyle of Hunza people is very simple and they are considered to be very welcoming and warm;

5. Some Hunzas live up to 150 years;

6. The women in Hunza can give birth at the age of 65.

7. They never eat processed food, and they eat apricot often and a lot.

8. They work in the fields from sunrise to sunset every day and they work hard.

Connecting together the dots of all the stories and facts presented above, here is my conclusion about how to have a long and healthy life:

1. You do need to educate through life. You can start developing a healthy mind in the young age, and you should never stop reading and thinking actively. Clarice Emley was a teacher, almost all Hunzas are educated, so we can say, we need a healthy developed brain activity to have a healthy life.

2. Single or not it doesn’t matter as long as you maintain healthy relationships during your whole life. “Healthy relationship” can sometimes mean a good connection with yourself, knowing and acknowledging all those hidden feelings, and helping them dissolve in a healthy energy, no matter how contagious they can be.

Using self- learning techniques and meditation can help you develop a better understanding of your needs and wishes, which can lead to a bigger and wider loving atmosphere for yourself and everyone around you.

Don’t hesitate to express your feelings, for suppressing them can sometimes lead to an abyss. Expressing your feelings can make your relationships “grow old” with you in a healthy direction.

So don’t stay away from marriage, but be able to “jump out” of an unstable and unhealthy one. At the end, it is your life that matters most, and the lives of those you love.

3. Avoid stress! Yes, stress is the greatest silent killer, the modern “exterminator” of life force.

Nowadays it is hard to ignore those stressful situations like hard working days, paying rents etc. but if you somehow manage to survive these modern obligations and complications, you should retire and slow down in some peaceful place, where you can reconnect with nature and try to live a calmer life.

4. Try to eat organic, natural food, and if you have the chance, grow it yourself. Maybe this is something you hear every day or even think of it often, but look at the Hunza people -they eat only what they grow, and they are healthy to the stadium they don’t even know what cancer is.

They die old and happy, seeing more in life than anyone of us. Maybe they don’t know what pizza is, but they see the sunrise many years after your last sunset.

They get to witness their great-grandchildren running and playing around. So think about that next time you reach for a fast food snack!

5. Don’t skip the physical activity! Even though it is hard, don’t give up! Think of all the working hours on the fields that Hunza people spend a day! It is hard but keeping your muscles “warm” can never be a bad thing.

Clarice Emley (we mentioned before) exercises every day. And she is 105! So, if she won’t give up her working out for the program, why should you? You are never getting younger but you should try to get older!

Yes, getting older is hard. Sometimes we have to give up many things and change our lives direction, but we do it for ourselves.

Why not try these things; maybe they will help you after all? Maybe you will live longer than anyone in your family. Maybe you will be the first one that can live for 200 years. And then, you will tell us your secret.

But till then, let’s use the knowledge of all those people that are older than 100 and still happy and healthy.

Good luck, and have a long and healthy life!

Food Is Medicine: 20 Natural Painkillers in Your Kitchen

Most of us really enjoy food, but despite being a pleasure, food can also be a medicine.

Here is a list of 20 natural food painkillers which can help you treat your health issues in a safe, effective, and delicious way:

1. Treat chronic pain with turmeric

This popular East Indian spice has been shown to be three times more effective at relieving pain than aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen. Additionally, it eased pain by 50 percent in the case of arthritis and fibromyalgia.

According to nutrition researcher Julian Whitaker, M.D. and author of the book, Reversing Diabetes, its active ingredient, curcumin, naturally obstructs the production of cyclooxygenase 2, an enzyme that triggers the release of a stream of pain-producing hormones, explains.

The recommended dose is 1/4 teaspoon daily, sprinkles on your meals.

2. Fight bladder infections with blueberries

Scientists at New Jersey’s Rutgers University found that the intake of 1 cup of blueberries daily reduces the risk of a urinary tract infection (UTIs) by 60 percent.

This is due to the high content of tannins, which are plant compounds that wrap around problem-causing bacteria in the bladder, thus preventing infections.

3. Ease heartburn with cider vinegar

According to experts, by sipping 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with 8 ounces of water before meals, you can soothe the painful bouts of heartburn within 24 hours.

Joseph Brasco, M.D., a gastroenterologist at the Center for Colon and Digestive Diseases in Huntsville, AL. claims:“Cider vinegar is rich in malic and tartaric acids, powerful digestive aids that speed the breakdown of fats and proteins so your stomach can empty quickly, before food washes up into the esophagus, triggering heartburn pain.”

4. Coffee to energize migraine medication

According to researchers at the National Headache Foundation, caffeine stimulates the stomach lining to absorb painkillers better and quicker, so you can boost the effects of medications with the help of a strong 12- ounce cup of coffee.

5. Cherries treat joint and headache pain

The daily consumption of cherries provides a headache and joint pain relief, due to the anthocyanins they contain, which are anti-inflammatories 10 times stronger than ibuprofen and aspirin.

Muraleedharan Nair, Ph.D., professor of food science at Michigan State University says that“Anthocyanins help shut down the powerful enzymes that kick-start tissue inflammation, so they can prevent, as well as treat, many different kinds of pain.” You should have 20 cherries on a daily basis.

6. Tomato juice to treat leg cramps

Leg cramps are most often a result of the deficiency of potassium in the body, due to heavy perspiration, diuretics, or caffeinated drinks. At least one in five people regularly struggle with leg cramps.

Therefore, UCLA researchers say that you should sip 10 ounces of potassium-rich tomato juice a day in order to lower the risk of the painful cramp flare-ups in only 10 days.

7. Fish eases digestion issues

18 ounces of fish weekly can help you prevent all kinds of digestion issues, like indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel diseases.

Researchers have found that the fatty acids in fish, EPA, and DHA, effectively treat cramps, intestinal inflammation, and belly pain.

As explained by the  biological chemist Barry Sears, Ph.D., president of the Inflammation Research Foundation in Marblehead, MA, “EPA and DHA are powerful, natural, side-effect-free anti-inflammatories, that can dramatically improve the function of the entire gastrointestinal tract.”

8. Heal mouth sores with honey

Researchers at the Dubai Specialized Medical Center in the United Arab Emirates claim that dabbing canker and cold sores with unpasteurized honey four times a day will treat them, since honey contains natural enzymes that kill viruses, treat inflammation, and accelerate the healing of damaged tissues.

9. Oats can help you relieve endometrial pain

Endometriosis is a result of a detachment of small parts of the uterine lining, which grow outside of the uterus, and it can turn menstruation into a real problem.

Yet, experts reveal that it can be easily treated with the consumption of oats, as they do not contain gluten, which causes the inflammation.

10. Ginger to soothe muscle pain

A Danish study showed that the consumption of ginger relieved muscle and joint pain, swelling, and stiffness by 63 percent within two months.

This is due to the gingerols, which protect you from the production of pain-triggering hormones. According to researchers, you should take a 1 teaspoon of dried ginger or 2 teaspoons of chopped ginger to meals every day.

11. Salt relieves foot pain

Stanford University researchers found that over six million Americans develop painful ingrown toenails annually, but these infections can be treated in only 4 days by regularly soaking ingrown nails in warm salt water baths.

Salt has powerful antibacterial properties which kill the germs that are the reason for the pain and swelling.  Add a teaspoon of salt into each cup of water, heat to the warmest temperature, and soak the feet for 20 minutes daily.

12. Garlic relieves earaches

Experts at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine maintain that placing 2 drops of warm garlic oil into the painful ear twice daily for five days relieves the pain.

Garlic has powerful active components, like germanium, selenium, and sulfur compounds, which are naturally toxic to numerous pain-causing bacteria.

Teresa Graedon, Ph.D., co-author of the book, Best Choices From The People’s Pharmacy says that you should simmer 3 cloves of crushed garlic in a half a cup of extra virgin olive oil for two minutes, strain the mixture, and refrigerate it up to 2 weeks. Warm up the oil before use.

13. Relax painful muscles with peppermint

The popular naturopath Mark Stengler, N.D., author of the book, The Natural Physician’s Healing Therapies, says that in order to relax the painful muscles, you should soak in a warm bath with 10 drops of peppermint oil three times weekly.

He claims:” The warm water will relax your muscles, while the peppermint oil will naturally soothe your nerves — a combo that can ease muscle cramping 25 percent more effectively than over-the-counter painkillers, and cut the frequency of future flare-ups in half.”

14. Treat back pain with grapes

Recent studies at Ohio State University found that the consumption of a heaping cup of grapes daily can relax tight blood vessels, as it will boost the blood flow back to damaged back tissues.

Apparently, the vertebrae of the back and  the shock-absorbing discs are completely dependent on nearby blood vessels to supply them with oxygen and nutrients, so the optimal blood flow will heal the damaged tissue.

15. Prevent PMS with yogurt

Yale researchers reported that 80 percent of women will struggle with premenstrual syndrome and its difficult symptoms, since their nervous systems are sensitive to the natural monthly spikes of estrogen and progesterone.

Researchers at New York’s Columbia University showed that  2 cups of yogurt daily can relieve these symptoms by 48 percent.

Mary Jane Minkin, M.D., a professor of gynecology at Yale University explains:“Yogurt is rich in calcium, a mineral that naturally calms the nervous system, preventing painful symptoms even when hormones are in flux.”

16. Treat sinus issues with horseradish

German researchers found that horseradish boosts the blood flow to the sinus cavities, and thus stimulate the opening and draining of the clogged sinuses, and also quickly treats sinus infections. You should take a teaspoon daily to soothe the symptoms.

17. Fight breast pain with flax

The addition of 3 tablespoons of ground flax to the daily diet relieves breast soreness within 12 weeks, due to the phytoestrogens, which are natural plant compounds that prevent the estrogen spikes that are the main cause of breast pain.

All you have to do is to sprinkle ground flax on your meals, or add it to veggie dips and smoothies.

18. Cloves relieves the toothache

UCLA researchers found that you can soothe the toothache and inflammation within 2 hours by gently chewing on a clove.  The natural anesthetic in cloves, eugenol, relieves the tooth pain very quickly. All you have to do is to sprinkle a ¼ teaspoon of ground cloves on meals daily.

19. Water will ease pain injuries

To accelerate the recovery in only a week, experts say that you should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily, in order to dilutes and eliminate histamine, which is a pain-triggering compound produced by injured tissues.

Susan M. Kleiner, Ph.D., author of the book, The Good Mood Diet explains:  “Plus water is a key building block of the cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones, your joints’ lubricating fluid, and the soft discs in your spine. And when these tissues are well-hydrated, they can move and glide over each other without causing pain.”

20. Pineapples prevent digestive upsets

A cup of fresh pineapple daily treats the painful bloating within 72 hours, due to the high content of proteolytic enzymes, which accelerate the breakdown of pain-causing proteins in the stomach and small intestine.

Partners Who FART In Front Of Each Other Are More Likely To Have A Long Relationship

Do you find this shocking? Farting, the thing you try to avoid so frantically in front of other people particularly your partner, can actually be beneficial for your relationship.

You may wonder how that is plausible, and isn’t your partner going to be bothered by the very deed, but read on, and you might change your view.

Mamy people try to show the best of themselves in front of their partner in order to make them fall in love.

This doesn’t mean just avoiding letting one go in front of them, but also to do many other normal, everyday activities.

But, a lasting relationship is formed on sincerity and trust, and you can only accomplish that by being as natural as you can.

This is even confirmed by Leah Decesare in her book called Naked Parenting. She explains the secrets of parenting and maintaining a lasting relationship.

Leah Decesare on Farting in Front of Your Partner

The author describes the moment when she accidentally farted in front of her husband for the first time. In fact, he remembers this moment even though it was over 20 years ago.

Obviously, her husband’s first impression after hearing her fart was “I want to marry this woman.”

He felt closer than ever, and he knew he’d always be with her. He enjoyed the fact that she let him into a different personal space. The moment she crossed the Toot-Line, her husband felt free to fart in front of too.

A solid marriage should be built on honesty, acceptance, and truth. In other words, a cozy spot where you can be free and completely yourself to the tiniest detail. It’s unlike other relationships. Women are normally too shy to fart even in a public restroom because somebody may hear them.

They hold it and wait until alone to ultimately let it out. However, this should be different with your partner. Be free and natural in front of them and don’t be shy of passing gas. Of course, we don’t say you should do it in front of strangers, but only when you two are alone.

Leah reveals that farting in front of your partner creates empathy, making you closer and even more charming to them. It’s a test to see if you can be 100% you, in front of each other.

Farting is Healthy

What’s more, farting is a normal process just like laughter and tears. It’s even unhealthy to hold it in. Dr. Oz describes it can cause stomach pain, cramps, and even bloating. Plus, you shouldn’t hide or ignore that part of you even though you share the most private things with your partner.

The average person passes about half a liter of gas in a day. So, this amount of gas has to come out at some point.

A Part of the Marriage

That’s right. You vow to stick together in sickness and health and to share everything. This is thought to bring you closer and make you stronger. Be honest to make your marriage steady and lasting. Be natural and don’t abstain yourself from doing normal stuff in front of each other.

This way, you’ll build and keep a solid foundation. This includes farting in front of your partner. It’s just a sign of your close and intimate connection with them. What’s more, they can make you laugh together, and a couple who laughs when alone is eternally a happy couple.

Study Shows The More Time You Spend With Your Mom, The Longer She’ll Live

Has it been awhile since you’ve seen your mom? A 2012 study says you should invite her over for dinner soon.

The study concluded that loneliness is a significant factor in the decline of quality of life in older adults, including risk of depression, cognitive impairment and health problems like coronary artery disease, and may even lead to an earlier death.

Specifically, the study looked at 1,600 adults with an average age of 71. Researchers found that 23 percent of participants who reported being lonely died within six years of the study, while only 14 percent of those who reported having companionship died during the same six year period.

The results, which were published in the JAMA Internal Medicine, remained consistent even after controlling for health and socioeconomic status.

Another study published in the journal PLoS Medicine in 2010 found that social ties can be as important to extending life as losing weight if you are obese and getting active if you are sedentary.

“Our social relationships are important not only to our quality of life, but also our longevity,” said study author Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, associate professor of psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, to WebMD.

“Throughout human history, we have relied on others for survival such as protection and food, and despite modern advancements that may [help with] certain aspects of survival so that we can live more independently, it appears that our relationships nonetheless still impact odds of survival,” she says.

Research has shown that loneliness and social isolation is downright terrible for our health. In fact, it’s been called a bigger health risk than smoking or obesity.

Spending time with loved ones or friends often leads to laughter. Laughing is a powerful antidote to declining health, having been shown to boost immunity, lower blood pressure and stimulate both blood flow and mental activity.

So, what are you waiting for? Plan a visit to your mom, and by all means, bring a few good jokes along with you!

If You Love Bananas, Read These 10 Shocking Things. The Number 5 Is The Best

There is a well-known phrase in the world of natural medicine, which says: eating an apple a day takes the doctor away from your life, but few people know that a banana (banana, banana, banana or whatever it is called in your city) day can also keep the doctor away.

The health benefits of banana come from the many vitamins and nutrients it contains.

Some of the nutrients and compounds in bananas are carbohydrates, vitamins A, C and B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, sodium, potassium and natural sugars such as sucrose, fructose and glucose. All of these make the banana a super fruit that is an integral part of a healthy daily regimen.

10 benefits of bananas for health

1. Regulate bowel movements

Irregular bowel movements are an irritating health problem that can be easily resolved with regular consumption of bananas.

Bananas contain a good amount of insoluble fiber that travels through the digestive tract, sweeping waste and producing intestinal movements that are smooth and easy to pass.

However, consuming too much banana, but too little water can contribute to constipation. In addition, eating bananas that are not fully ripe can also lead to constipation and gas. So remember to consume ripe bananas and drink enough water a day.

At the same time, bananas help treat diarrhea because they contain pectin, a water-soluble fiber that acts as a gelling agent and helps to absorb fluids in the intestines.

2. Provides Natural Energy

Bananas have a unique blend of vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates that provide a rapid supply of natural energy. In addition, bananas have a healthy blend of three natural sugars: glucose, sucrose and fructose. The combination of these sugars has a great energetic potential.

Bananas are one of the few fruits that contain complex and simple carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates give you endurance energy and simple carbohydrates give you quick energy. Eating only two bananas will give you enough energy to do exercises for 90 minutes.

3. Soothe stomach ulcers

Bananas are beneficial to the health of the stomach in two ways. First, several substances in bananas help produce a thicker coating of protective mucus in the stomach that serves as a barrier against stomach acids.

They also help to neutralize the acidity of food, which can contribute to the formation of ulcers.

Second, bananas contain protease inhibitors that help to eliminate bacteria in the stomach, which is one of the main causes of stomach ulcers.

4. Support a healthy heart

Bananas are rich in potassium, a mineral electrolyte that is essential for your heart. Potassium travels to cells through your body and helps the circulatory system deliver oxygen to the brain. This also helps maintain a regular heart rate and an adequate balance of water in the body.

People who eat diets rich in potassium-rich foods like bananas can also substantially reduce their risk of stroke, regulate blood pressure and prevent various heart diseases.

5. Help in weight loss

If you are looking for a food that can help you lose weight, bananas are a perfect choice. They are low in fat and high in fiber and vitamins.

The dietary fiber in bananas absorbs water and takes up a lot of space in the stomach, which keeps you feeling full for longer.

In addition, they increase metabolism, thanks to its various B vitamins. The naturally sweet taste will also slow down your sweet tooth cravings when you feel the need to eat something sweet.

6. Treats anemia

Bananas are a good source of iron for people suffering from anemia. Iron deficiency is a key factor in this health condition and eating foods rich in iron will help replenish this essential mineral.

Regular consumption of bananas along with other iron-rich foods can gradually reduce the symptoms associated with anemia including fatigue, dizziness, headaches, shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat.

7. Treat morning sickness

If you are pregnant and looking for ways to combat morning sickness, take a banana. Calming properties help replenish the body and restore a healthy level of blood glucose. This in turn helps to combat nausea.

Pregnant women are advised to eat a banana after waking up in the morning and after each meal. In addition, bananas have several nutrients that can help lift your mood and support the physical development of your unborn baby.

8. Promotes eye health

Bananas contain vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that is vital for eye health. Adequate daily vitamin A intake also decreases the risk of night blindness.

According to a study published in the Archives of Ophthalmology, eating three or more servings of bananas per day can also reduce your risk of age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss in older adults by 36% compared to which consume less than 1.5 servings daily.

9. Healing mosquito bites

Mosquito bites cause a lot of itching and sometimes they are painful. You can treat these symptoms with banana peels.

Rub the inside of the banana peels into the bite for about five to ten minutes. This will help reduce itching and swelling. In fact, this simple remedy often works better than creams or medications that are in the pharmacy.

10. Helps control depression

According to a recent survey of people suffering from depression, many participants felt much better after eating a banana.

Bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, which is known to help you relax, improve your mood and, in general, make you feel happier.

Also, when you suffer from insomnia due to depression, you can eat a banana before bedtime; Your tryptophan will help you sleep better.

Banana also contain tyrosine, an amino acid that increases levels of norepinephrine and dopamine. Low levels of these neurotransmitters that stimulate brain activity, alertness and concentration are often associated with depression.

With all the health benefits of this low-cost fruit, add bananas to your grocery list every time you buy. They are a great choice for a healthy sweet snack between meals as well.

RESPECT YOUR PARENTS IN THEIR OLD AGE – HEART TOUCHING STORY

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, “What is this?” The Son replied “It is a crow”. After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?” The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”. After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?”

At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. “It’s a crow, a crow”.A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, “What is this?”

This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.

While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, “I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today”. Say a prayer to God, “I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.

Thanks for spending your time on reading this story……

Hope YOU are forwarding this to all your friends
