Psychologists Warn: NEVER Use These 5 Phrases When Talking To Your Child…

When we are born, our parents are EVERYTHING we have in this world.

They are someone we turn to for support, guidance, and safety. They are someone we look up to tell us the rules of this mystery we are born into.

The truth is we are all human and we all make mistakes. However, to a child’s mind its parents are something A LOT more than just a human.

They are its creators, its caretakers, its guardians, and they’ve lived here before it was even born. Our mother and father are our goddess and god when we are young. They are the only thing we are familiar with in the midst of this vast unknown.

That’s the reason why what parents do and how they behave becomes a crucial part of their children’s psyche.

They are an example mold for our early consciousness, something to look from when it develops our character.

The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice!

Our brain has a lot more neural connections when we are young. It absorbs almost everything that happens around us with a purpose to better adapt in its surroundings.

As we grow up it holds on only to the most used neural connections and it gets rid of everything that we don’t commonly use.

Our mother’s and father’s voice is something that gets integrated deeply into our psyche, it becomes our inner voice.

The way they speak to us becomes the way our inner voice speaks to us, the way we speak to ourselves.

If they are angry most of the time they speak to us, if they are harsh and cold, if they shout and yell whenever we do something wrong, that’s how we’ll deal with ourselves whenever we make a mistake.

But as we said, we are all human, we make mistakes and that’s ok. The way you approach the mistakes is how you learn and overcome them.

How to speak to your child?

An insulting inner voice can prevent us from trying new things by making us feel worthless whenever we make a mistake.

While a friendly inner voice can be our greatest support, guide and motivator in life.

That’s why it is crucial to speak to your child with kindness, love and honesty even if they make a mistake, or do something wrong.

You will develop a voice inside their head that will support them in life whenever they need support, even when you are not there.

Or at least you can try to avoid saying these phrases:

They are extremely damaging to a child’s developing character!

“Stop crying right now!”

Usually when a kid does something it knows will be punished for they start crying. But even though there is no reason for them to cry, that’s their emotion.

They have all the right in the world to express how they feel. By saying this you are slowly programming your child to suppress its emotions.

Instead you should kindly say: “It’s ok to cry sweety, it’s ok to show how you feel. But that doesn’t make what you did a right thing to do.” Hug, and explain why it is wrong what they did.

“You are worthless!”

This is possibly the worst thing you can say to a child. Especially when you are the person and the mental figure they expect most of to be given approval of.

By saying this, you are putting your child on a never ending journey to seek approval from the outside world. Instead of helping them find their own worth inside, you are letting them believe they have nothing inside to find.

There are so many things you can say instead of this, like: “You can do better!”, “Nobody is perfect.”, “It’s not your day, you’ll do better next time.”

“Big boys/girls don’t get scared!”

First of all, why are you lying to your kid. You are probably more frightened than they are throughout your day. Second, you are forcing them to reject what they are honestly feeling.

Fear is not a bad thing, it reminds us when to be careful. You should not run away from it but face it, be aware, learn from it. And real courage is not being fearless, but facing your fear even if you are terrified.

Instead of this, tell your kid: “It’s ok to be scared buddy. All of us are scared sometimes. But I know there is courage inside you that will help you do the right thing even if you are scared. You are my little hero!”

“I am disappointed in you!”

Parents usually tell this to their children when they already feel bad. Trying to make them responsible for your disappointment is pretty selfish. You can be disappointed in a friend, you can be disappointed in a movie, or even your country’s politics, but you can’t be disappointed in your child.

You are there to let them on a right path. So when they do something wrong, guide them back. Your disappointment is in your guidance, not your child. Teach your child what that they did is wrong and why.

Instead of this, tell your kid: “What you did is wrong, in my opinion. And I believe you made an honest mistake. Even if you chose to do what you did, I can assure you’ll realize it’s wrong after I explain. I know you can do better!”

“You are not [something] enough!”

By saying this to your children you are showing them a pretty restricted image of themselves. You are implying that there is something they are lacking in order for them to do what they love or be who they want to be.

Even though you are not saying that they are not enough, you are programming their mindset that way. They are enough to be themselves.

They always are. A tree is enough to be a tree even when it is only a seed. But it needs to grow in order to become what it is.

Instead of this, tell your kid: “You are enough to be or do what you love. But sometimes we all need to train or practice something before, in order to grow that way.”

5 Ingredients to Completely Detox Your Skin

Your skin is your largest organ. Is it time to detox your skin ?

“The skin is the body’s largest organ, and it is constantly in contact with the elements. Pollutants and dirt from the environment can clog your pores, and toxins from your diet can cause your complexion to suffer…(but) a few small changes (can) greatly improve the look and feel of your skin.” – Shari Forschen, N.P.

What our skin does

Our skin is one of the largest organs of the body (measured in weight and surface area.) Comprised of two layers – the dermis (inner) and epidermis (outer) – the health of our skin is vital to our overall well-being.

The skin has three main functions: protection, regulation, and sensation. Protection is the skin’s primary role against “mechanical impacts and pressure, variations in temperature, micro-organisms, radiation, and chemicals.”

Regulation functions of the skin span many physiological elements: body temperature, peripheral circulation, and fluid balance.

An intricate network of nerve cells gives skin its sensation function. The four sensations of the skin – cold, heat, pain, and touch – each have different nerve receptors. These receptors detect changes in the environment, sending this information to the brain.

The importance of detox

Our skin absorbs pretty much anything, including toxins. Toxins come from a number of sources, but the environment is the primary culprit of exposure.

Other means of skin toxification include: chemicals in water and makeup, poor dietary habits, and hormonal disorders.

To detox your skin will lead to a number of benefits. First, it enables the skin to perform its three primary functions that keep us safe.

Second, detox will give the skin a much cleaner, healthier appearance – and you’ll feel much better as a result.

THE FIVE ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS FOR SKIN DETOX

1. WATER

Drinking plenty of water is a crucial part of detoxifying the skin. First, water helps flush toxins from the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which hastens the elimination of harmful chemicals. Second, consuming at least 64 ounces of water per day prevents dryness, scaling and peeling of the skin.

Quick Recipe: Adding a teaspoon of lemon juice and a half-teaspoon of honey to your morning glass of water is an excellent way to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy.

2. FIBER

As we all know, fiber is a vital substance for digestive health. A variety of fiber, called psyllium husk, helps to rid the body of fungus and yeast, which prevents them from being excreted through the skin. Fungus and yeast excretion can trigger adverse skin conditions, such as acne and rashes.

The recommended daily intake (RDI) of fiber is 38 grams for adult men and 25 for women. Beans, fruit, nuts, veggies, and whole grains are good sources.

3. CHEMICAL-FREE PRODUCTS

Many cosmetics include parabens, a synthesized preservative. Certain pharmaceutical products also contain the chemicals. While the “jury is still out” regarding the safety of parabens in the U.S., the compounds were banned by the European Union in 2012 because of health concerns.

See ‘Green Face Detox’ below for a healthy, natural alternative!

4. PROBIOTICS

It’s evident by now that healthy digestion is a critical factor in skin health. Probiotics are “often referred to as ‘good’ or ‘helpful’ bacteria, because they help keep the gut healthy,” according to worldhealth.net, “They (also) contribute to total wellness, including skin health.”

Yogurt, kefir, dark chocolate (yay!), miso soup, tempeh, and kimchi are all rich sources of probiotics.

5. SWEATING!

In Finland, a trip to the sauna after a night boozing is an oft-practiced ritual.

Why? Because sweating (yes, that includes exercise) is highly effective in eradicating toxins (booze or otherwise) from the system.

Per Dr. Joseph Mercola, “Sweating (helps) your body to eliminate toxins, which supports proper immune function and helps prevent diseases related to toxic overload.

If You Love Bananas, Read These 10 Shocking Things. The Number 5 Is The Best

There is a well-known phrase in the world of natural medicine, which says: eating an apple a day takes the doctor away from your life, but few people know that a banana (banana, banana, banana or whatever it is called in your city) day can also keep the doctor away.

The health benefits of banana come from the many vitamins and nutrients it contains.

Some of the nutrients and compounds in bananas are carbohydrates, vitamins A, C and B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, sodium, potassium and natural sugars such as sucrose, fructose and glucose. All of these make the banana a super fruit that is an integral part of a healthy daily regimen.

10 benefits of bananas for health

1. Regulate bowel movements

Irregular bowel movements are an irritating health problem that can be easily resolved with regular consumption of bananas.

Bananas contain a good amount of insoluble fiber that travels through the digestive tract, sweeping waste and producing intestinal movements that are smooth and easy to pass.

However, consuming too much banana, but too little water can contribute to constipation. In addition, eating bananas that are not fully ripe can also lead to constipation and gas. So remember to consume ripe bananas and drink enough water a day.

At the same time, bananas help treat diarrhea because they contain pectin, a water-soluble fiber that acts as a gelling agent and helps to absorb fluids in the intestines.

2. Provides Natural Energy

Bananas have a unique blend of vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates that provide a rapid supply of natural energy. In addition, bananas have a healthy blend of three natural sugars: glucose, sucrose and fructose. The combination of these sugars has a great energetic potential.

Bananas are one of the few fruits that contain complex and simple carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates give you endurance energy and simple carbohydrates give you quick energy. Eating only two bananas will give you enough energy to do exercises for 90 minutes.

3. Soothe stomach ulcers

Bananas are beneficial to the health of the stomach in two ways. First, several substances in bananas help produce a thicker coating of protective mucus in the stomach that serves as a barrier against stomach acids.

They also help to neutralize the acidity of food, which can contribute to the formation of ulcers.

Second, bananas contain protease inhibitors that help to eliminate bacteria in the stomach, which is one of the main causes of stomach ulcers.

4. Support a healthy heart

Bananas are rich in potassium, a mineral electrolyte that is essential for your heart. Potassium travels to cells through your body and helps the circulatory system deliver oxygen to the brain. This also helps maintain a regular heart rate and an adequate balance of water in the body.

People who eat diets rich in potassium-rich foods like bananas can also substantially reduce their risk of stroke, regulate blood pressure and prevent various heart diseases.

5. Help in weight loss

If you are looking for a food that can help you lose weight, bananas are a perfect choice. They are low in fat and high in fiber and vitamins.

The dietary fiber in bananas absorbs water and takes up a lot of space in the stomach, which keeps you feeling full for longer.

In addition, they increase metabolism, thanks to its various B vitamins. The naturally sweet taste will also slow down your sweet tooth cravings when you feel the need to eat something sweet.

6. Treats anemia

Bananas are a good source of iron for people suffering from anemia. Iron deficiency is a key factor in this health condition and eating foods rich in iron will help replenish this essential mineral.

Regular consumption of bananas along with other iron-rich foods can gradually reduce the symptoms associated with anemia including fatigue, dizziness, headaches, shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat.

7. Treat morning sickness

If you are pregnant and looking for ways to combat morning sickness, take a banana. Calming properties help replenish the body and restore a healthy level of blood glucose. This in turn helps to combat nausea.

Pregnant women are advised to eat a banana after waking up in the morning and after each meal. In addition, bananas have several nutrients that can help lift your mood and support the physical development of your unborn baby.

8. Promotes eye health

Bananas contain vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that is vital for eye health. Adequate daily vitamin A intake also decreases the risk of night blindness.

According to a study published in the Archives of Ophthalmology, eating three or more servings of bananas per day can also reduce your risk of age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss in older adults by 36% compared to which consume less than 1.5 servings daily.

9. Healing mosquito bites

Mosquito bites cause a lot of itching and sometimes they are painful. You can treat these symptoms with banana peels.

Rub the inside of the banana peels into the bite for about five to ten minutes. This will help reduce itching and swelling. In fact, this simple remedy often works better than creams or medications that are in the pharmacy.

10. Helps control depression

According to a recent survey of people suffering from depression, many participants felt much better after eating a banana.

Bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, which is known to help you relax, improve your mood and, in general, make you feel happier.

Also, when you suffer from insomnia due to depression, you can eat a banana before bedtime; Your tryptophan will help you sleep better.

Banana also contain tyrosine, an amino acid that increases levels of norepinephrine and dopamine. Low levels of these neurotransmitters that stimulate brain activity, alertness and concentration are often associated with depression.

With all the health benefits of this low-cost fruit, add bananas to your grocery list every time you buy. They are a great choice for a healthy sweet snack between meals as well.
