Heal Cavities, Gum Disease, And Whiten Teeth With This Natural Homemade Toothpaste!

One of the most important parts of our bodies is our teeth! They are there forever, and we only get one pair. With all the junk food we eat these days, it is very important to keep our teeth healthy so that we don’t suffer from tooth decay or gum diseases.

There are literally thousands of toothpaste out there, they all claim to be the same too. They claim to whiten your teeth in 30 days, and to prevent gum disease, etc. But, they usually all contain the same toxic ingredients! Fluoride is an excellent example.

Fluoride is one of the most used ingredients in toothpaste, and it is purely toxic. For example, Harvard University did a study on fluoride and brain function, and the results were pretty startling. They showed that an adverse side effect of fluoride is a lowered IQ level. So basically, the toothpaste advertisers are offering us whiter teeth in exchange for our brain cells. No, thank you!

Thankfully, there are many natural ingredients to create a home remedy for toothpaste. This home remedy for toothpaste is completely natural, and is completely effective in whitening teeth and lowering risk for gum diseases!

This remedy contains baking soda, coconut oil, and neem powder. Baking soda is an excellent ingredient for your teeth because it works to clean teeth.

According to The Journal of Clinical Dentistry in June 2008, brushing your teeth with baking soda products was proven to be more effective than using products without it. Baking soda is more affordable and more effective. Why would we brush our teeth with anything else?

Moving onto the Coconut Oil, it has also shown to be exceptionally effective in dental health. Coconut oil has been used to clean teeth for centuries, dating back to ancient India! Coconut oil works by detoxifying the oral cavity in a similar way to dish liquid cleaning dishes. It literally sucks the dirt and toxins out of your mouth. It creates a clean, antiseptic oral environment for your teeth.

The last primary ingredient in this amazing and natural toothpaste is Neem Powder. Neem is a leafy tree also known as the “Indian Lilac”. It is commonly used in Indian traditional medicine. It has more than 140 active compounds within! It is known to produce a more healthy immune system, treat ulcers, and prevent tooth decay!

Researchers published in the Journal of Ayurveda Integrative Medicine that just chewing on a stick from the tree can help prevent tooth decay while inducing a more sterile environment for your teeth to live in. This ingredient really is amazing and should be exalted for its medicinal uses.

Here are the ingredients you will need to create this natural toothpaste:

– 3 tablespoons baking soda

– 1 tablespoon neem powder

– 3 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil

– 1 tablespoon xylitol (for taste)

– 15 drops of mint essential oil/aroma

Preparation:

You should mix all ingredients in a suitable container, in order to prepare a paste. As coconut oil may harden depending on the outside temperature, store the paste in a glass jar.

Use this natural toothpaste just like you would ordinary toothpaste. Use it three times a day, and you will experience healthier gums, whitened teeth, and healed cavities! Yes, you heard me right, It can heal cavities. Enjoy!

Nutritionist Says “Butter is Not Just Better, It’s Essential to Modern Human Health”

Butter Nutrition 101: Is Butter Bad for You or Is Butter Good for You?

Everything is better with butter! How many times have you heard that before? People’s perceptions of butter haven’t always been positive, though. Falling under the “saturated fats” umbrella, butter has gotten a lot of flak for apparently skyrocketing cholesterol levels, clogging arteries, and increasing risk for heart disease.

Between government recommendations and cardiologists’ advice and mainstream media influence and personal opinions, the overall stance on butter seems split. However, some doctors and scientists believe that you shouldn’t be demonizing saturated fats. New research even says we got cholesterol all wrong and debunks the myths of saturated fat.

If saturated fat is not as bad for our health as we’ve been led to believe, then where does that leave beloved butter on the good-or-bad spectrum? Based on the evidence, the pros of butter seem to be outweighing the cons.

Is Butter Bad for You or Is Butter Good for You?

What is butter? The rich and flavorful dairy product used for spreading, cooking, or baking is milk fat that has been churned and separated from the milk’s other components such as protein and carbs. Despite the negative light that governments and corporations have shone on butter over the last few decades, its 10,000-year history is not unlike its flavor – rich.

“Thirsty from a long, hot journey, the weary herdsman reached for the sheepskin bag of milk knotted to the back of his pack animal,” wrote Nicole Jankowsky covering an NPR story about the history of butter.  “But as he tilted his head to pour the warm liquid into his mouth, he was astonished to find that the sheep’s milk had curdled. The rough terrain and constant joggling of the milk had transformed it into butter — and bewilderingly, it tasted heavenly.”

On top of tasting divine, the Weston A. Price Foundation has come into the public eye for its stance of why butter is better. The foundation believes that butter actually has, is, and continues to protect those who consume it against many illnesses and diseases. Published on January 1, 2000, their in-depth and evidence-based defense of butter proves that they saw something the average consumer could not. In it, they claim that butter can benefit:

– Heart disease

– Cancer

– The immune system

– Arthritis

– Osteoporosis

– The thyroid gland

– Gastrointestinal health

– Weight gain

– Children’s growth and development

Healthy Butter Nutrition Facts: Spread the Word

Although that article was written almost two decades ago and butter has served a social, cultural, economic, and traditional purpose in various cultures, why someone would question whether butter is still an essential staple of the Western diet is understandable. We would like to argue that it is…

Not only is butter rich in nutrients and full of healthy fats, but research has also proven that it can help fight against heart disease and obesity. If you’re still on the fence, then keep on reading to find out the answer to this question: Is butter good for you?

1) Butter Is Rich in Vitamins

– Butter’s highest vitamin content is vitamin A. Studies have shown that vitamin A can help preserve your ability to see at night (i.e., night blindness) and help protect your vision, especially as you age. This powerful vitamin also helps boost your immune system which helps fight against infections.

– Vitamin D, which is also found in butter, has been shown to boost weight loss due to its appetite-suppressing effect and lower overweight people’s risk of developing heart disease. Researchers have also found that vitamin D can help improve symptoms of depression. (It starting to seem like everything really isbetter with butter.)

– Another powerhouse in butter is vitamin B12, a nutrient that studies have shown to slow down mental decline in early-stage dementia patients as well as improve bone health and preventing osteoporosis. More importantly, this nutrient may even help improve heart health thanks to its ability to decrease homocysteine levels (i.e., an amino acid in the bloodstream) which can rise when you have a vitamin B12 deficiency. (We should also note that butter should not be your only source of B12. Relying on butter alone will not give you sufficient amounts of this important vitamin.)

– Interestingly, butter can be rich in vitamin K, a nutrient that you’ll be hard-pressed to find in modern Western diets. It’s even better if you consume butter that comes from grass-fed cows because it has an even higher vitamin K content. Plus, this nutrient can help fight against coronary heart disease, prostate cancer, and an increased risk of bone fractures.

2) Butter Contains Short-Chain Fats Ruminant Trans Fats

“Milk fat contains approximately 400 difference fatty acid, which make it the most complex of all natural fats” said study author Helena Lindmark Månsson in a 2008 study published in Food & Nutrition Research. “Almost 70% of the [milk] fat… is saturated of which around 11% comprises short-chain fatty acids, almost half of which is butyric acid.”

One form of butyric acid known as “butyrate,” which is found in butter, can help reduce digestive inflammation – even in individuals who have Crohn’s disease.

Also known as “dairy trans fats,” ruminant trans fats are actually healthy, at least compared to processed food trans fats. One of the more popular ruminant trans fats is CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid.

Scientists have conducted laboratory studies showing that CLA may help protect animal and human cells against melanoma, colorectal, breast, and lung cancer. Another study suggests that CLA may even be a powerful healthy fat for fat loss.

Major Health Benefits of Butter

Filled with all of those vitamins and healthy fats, it’s challenging to see why some people want to shut butter down.

Of course, it’s always important to consume foods like this one in moderation. But to steer entire populations away from a historically healthy food seems a little over the top. Especially seeing as it’s been proven to help fight against two of North America’s greatest public health crises.

Butter and Heart Disease

It is true, butter contains significant levels of saturated fat. However, contrary to many cholesterol-rising and heart-disease-inducing claims, researchers are finding more health positives than negatives.

A meta-analysis study of 60 controlled trials published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that saturated fats actually increased participants’ levels of HDL, otherwise known as good cholesterol, which lowers the risk of heart disease.

Another study published in the same journal found that saturated fats increased LDL or “bad” cholesterol. However, to the researchers’ surprise, the saturated fats continued to convert those LDL particles into large ones, which scientists have yet to prove are associated with heart disease.

Butter and Obesity

Another one of the anti-butter narratives is that it’s not good for your health due to its high calorie count and fat content. On the contrary, a 2012 review published in the European Journal of Nutrition might make you question that belief. Obviously, if someone is having a main order of butter with a side of toast instead of a main order of toast with a side of butter, they’re going to run into problems.

However, researchers found that when individuals ate normal amounts of butter in combination with a healthy diet, believe it or not, “high-fat dairy products (like butter) were linked to a reduced risk of obesity.”

New Butter Beliefs?

Whether you are pro-butter, anti-butter or still on the fence, we hope you have found this resource helpful.

Consuming excessive amounts of butter – no matter how deliciously rich it is – is not a wise lifestyle choice. But, as you have seen, adding a healthy amount of butter to a balanced diet can have immense benefits for your body and mind. What would be a healthy amount?

“The American Heart Association recommends limiting the amount of saturated fat you eat to less than 7% of your total daily calories,” wrote Dina Spector for Business Insider. “So, if you eat around 2,000 calories a day, that’s 16 grams of saturated fat. There are around 7 grams of saturated fat in one tablespoon of butter.”

When it comes to the best type of butter to eat, organic and grass-fed is best. However, as it can sometimes be significantly more costly, consuming organic butter is just fine. Oh, and for anyone who has lactose or dairy protein sensitivities, ghee is a great healthy alternative.

Is everything better with butter? Who knows… Only you can decide that for yourself. We humans are stubborn after all. After seeing all of those health benefits listed along with the scientific studies to back them up, there is one thing we know for sure: butter is not your enemy.

32 Signs You Immediately Need More Magnesium (And How To Get It)

Who would have thought that the lack of only one nutrient can have an enormous impact on the overall health?

The American diet has drastically changed over the years, which has resulted in a constant rise in health issues which used to be rarely seen earlier. Deficiencies in certain nutrients have become very common, out of which magnesium is definitely the most common one.

While only an estimate, up to 80% of Americans fail to get enough magnesium! Another research reveals that about 25% of American are getting the RDA of 310-320 milligrams for women and 400-420 for men.

Nowadays, it has become much more difficult to get magnesium from food sources, which is really bad if we take into consideration the fact that Magnesium is a key mineral in the human metabolism.

It is found in over 300 enzymes in the body and has a significant role in body`s detoxification processes, which makes it a mineral of utmost importance in terms of preventing damage from heavy metals, toxins, and environmental chemicals.

Additionally, it is also needed for creating energy by activating ATP; helping digest carbohydrates, fats, and proteins; activating muscles and nerves; acting as a precursor for serotonin,  and serving as a building block for DNA and RNA synthesis.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET ENOUGH MAGNESIUM?

Earlier, it has been much simpler to get the recommended dosage of magnesium on a daily basis. In fact, the consumption of produce was enough to supply you with the magnesium you needed. Unlike today, magnesium was prevalent in the soil years ago. The erosion and modern farming practices take their toll, leaving tiny amounts of magnesium in the soil.

Another reason for magnesium deficiency is the fact that people consume unhealthy diets and rarely eat foods like beans, seeds, mackerel, nuts, and dark leafy greens, all of which are excellent sources of magnesium.

32 SIGNS THAT YOU HAVE A MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY

1.  Anxiety

2. Asthma

3. Blood clots

4. Bowel disease

5. Calcium deficiency

6. Confusion

7. Constipation

8. Cystitis

9. Depression

10. Difficulty swallowing

11. Dizziness

12. Fatigue

13.  Fertility/childbearing issues: Getting or staying pregnant, preeclampsia, preterm labor

14.  High blood pressure

15.  Heart issues

16.  Hypertension

17.  Hypoglycemia

18.  Insomnia

19.  Liver and kidney disease

20.  Memory loss

21.  Migraines

22.  Muscle cramps

23.  Nausea

24.  Osteoporosis

25.  Personality changes: often similar to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders

26.  Potassium deficiency: may cause extreme thirst, fluid retention, and irritability

27.  Raynaud’s syndrome: may cause cold fingers or toes, color changes in skin due to temperature changes, and numbness in extremities

28.  Respiratory difficulties

29.  Seizures

30.  Tooth decay

31.  Tremors

32.  Type II diabetes

HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

As mentioned above, magnesium is a key factor in the human metabolism and it is used it over 300 bodily processes and chemical reactions. Therefore, deficiency in magnesium negatively affects the overall health.

The best way to boost your magnesium intake is by consuming more magnesium-rich foods, such as the ones listed above. However, you may still experience magnesium deficiency and not get the recommended daily value.

For that reason, you should also take supplement products with magnesium (one capsule per day is enough). Yet, it is of utmost importance to be cautious, because there are numerous supplements that contain fillers (like gluten, preservatives, sugar, wheat) with no nutritional value.

Many people recommend Women’s MULTIpro, as it meets other nutritional needs as well, such as iodine, biotin, zinc, chromium, vitamin B1, and vitamin A.

Aloe Vera: The Killer Of Fat Deposits, It Cures Over 50 Diseases

As you may probably know, Aloe Vera is one of the most potent natural remedies used in the last few centuries. In ancient Egypt, the plant was known as “plant of immortality” due to its incredible health benefits.

Fresh Aloe gel is nowadays used to heal minor cuts and wounds, but it can also be used to treat more than 50 ailments.

The gel contains enzymes, polysaccharides, amino acids and essential minerals and vitamins that can improve your overall health and accelerate the healing process in your body.

The Aloe Vera gel has antifungal, antiseptic, antibacterial and antiviral properties and can easily remove toxins and waste from your body. The gel can reinforce your immune system as well, promote weight loss and shield your body from numerous ailments.

It contains rare enzymes such as amylase and lipase which can improve the breakdown of fats and sugar and prevent a variety of serious health problems.

Furthermore, the gel also contains a lot of vitamin B12 that can raise the production of the vital red blood cells. Vegetarians often lack the vitamin, which is why they’re suggested to consume the gel more often.

Aloe Vera also contains twenty out of the twenty-two essential amino acids the human body needs to properly function.

According to studies, the gel can also improve our oral health by eliminating the bacteria in our oral cavity and preventing the accumulation of plaque on our teeth.

The gel works best undiluted, but you’re allowed to add a bit of fruit juice to it if you can’t stand it on its own.

The gel can be found in most health stores, although the better option is to grow your own Aloe plant and extract the gel yourself. It’s easier than you might think, and you’ll always have a steady supply of the amazing gel.

A WONDER FOR OUR FEET

The protagonist in this recipe is nothing more and nothing less than the well-known apple cider vinegar. This foot soaking treatment in apple cider vinegar is called a foot bath.

Surely you have already heard about this technique and it has been used for many years in all parts of the world, and this thanks to the benefits it brings.

The vinegar as we can use it to fight against respiratory problems, digestive and even lose weight, it is wonderful to perform this natural treatment.

Depending on how we use it and with what we combine it, the results can be wonderful.

This foot bath is made with warm water to prevent our feet from suffering thermal shock, and the good thing is that if we prefer we can add herbs, spices or even aromatic salts.

The reasons for making a footbath with apple cider vinegar are that the feet are a place where a large part of the germs accumulate since they are not very exposed and lack a lot of oxygenation.

This type of germs or bacteria can cause these horrible calluses, dry feet, roughness and even infections.

When performing a foot bath your feet will be disinfected and you will be able to put an end to those fungi and microbes that cause the bad smell.

TO DO IT, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

Heat the water, until it is lukewarm, between 15 to 18 degrees.

Not very hot, place this water in a tub or container where we can put our feet to soak and add a full glass of apple cider vinegar. If you prefer you can add a few drops of lavender essential oil to improve the smell and stimulate sleep.

Let soak for 30 minutes and you’re done.

Among other uses of apple cider vinegar we have that it helps us to fight dandruff, relieves a sore throat, eliminates bad smells from our home and reduces the bad smell of shoes.

Turns out E-Cigarettes Cause a Horrible Incurable Disease Called “Popcorn Lung”

The latest trend in smoking has been E-cigarettes. They have been promoted as a much safer alternative to smoking regular cigarettes.

But of course, there’s the old saying that starts out, if it’s too good to be true…It turns out the Harvard School of Public Health decided to do a study on E-cigarettes and the results are startling.

It looks as if they may not pose the traditional cigarette threat, but they pose a different one altogether.

Diacetyl is a flavoring chemical used in E-cigs which are linked to cases of severe respiratory disease, most notably the incurable condition called “Popcorn Lung.”

This condition was first noticed in workers in microwave popcorn processing facilities who inhaled the artificial butter flavoring. The disease is totally debilitating and irreversible.

It’s a respiratory disease which causes scarring in tiny air sacs in the lungs. This leads to shortness of breath and excessive coughing.

“The amount of diacetyl in 39 of the e-cigs exceeded the amount that was able to be detected by the laboratory.

Diacetyl and other related flavoring chemicals are used in many other flavors beyond butter-flavored popcorn, including fruit flavors, alcohol flavors, and candy flavored e-cigarettes.”

Allan also noted how scary these findings are as the flavor names of these e-cigs include cotton candy, cupcake, and other flavors which would clearly be attractive to young people.

But that’s not all. Due to the fact that e-cigs are so new, it wouldn’t be a stretch to figure that even more risks will pop up in the near future. David Christiani, Elkan Blout Professor of Environmental Genetics, was the co-author of the study and said the following:

“Since most of the health concerns about e-cigarettes have focused on nicotine, there is still much we do not know about e-cigarettes. In addition to containing varying levels of the addictive substance nicotine, they also contain other cancer-causing chemicals, such as formaldehyde, and as our study shows, flavoring chemicals that can cause lung damage.”

It looks like the fruity-flavored “safe” alternative to traditional smoking, may not be all that after all, and it probably is best to cease any e-cig habits until further research is done on this emerging smoking trend.

Here’s a video where e-cigs led to devastating results for one man:

This Plant Kills Lyme Disease Better Than Antibiotics, According To Research

The CDC reported that about 300,000 people are affected by Lyme disease annually. This bacterial infection affects people of all ages and is transmitted by deer ticks and black-legged ticks across the United States, and other 60 countries more.

The symptoms of Lyme disease are similar to many other diseases, so diagnosing it is not easy.

This disease can affect all body organs, including the heart, brain and nervous system, the muscles and joints.

These are the most common symptoms:

– Joint pain

– Fever

– Nausea

– Muscle pain

– Chills

– Sweats

– A rash in the shape of a bull’s eye

It is conventionally treated with antibiotics, but they treat the symptoms only, and the disease remains in the body, and might even worsen the condition.

However, a recent preclinical study showed that the whole stevia leaf extract is a powerful antibiotic in the fight against a pathogen known as Borrelia Burgdorferi, which causes Lyme disease.

The study was conducted by researchers from the Department of Biology and Environmental Science, University of New Haven, West Haven, CT, and the findings were published in the European Journal of Microbiology & Immunology.

Researchers directly compared the effects of an alcohol extract of a whole stevia leaf product and conventional antibiotics, in terms of their ability to destroy various forms of Borrelia burgdorferi.

This pathogen is highly resistant to antibiotics and it can exist in various forms.

Therefore, it formed a barrier against conventional antibiotics, and they were unable to fight it.

On the other hand, researchers reported that “Stevia whole leaf extract, as an individual agent, was effective against all known morphological forms of B. burgdorferi.”

They found that 10-20% of Lyme disease patients treated with antibiotics for 2-4 weeks, experienced side-effects such as muscle pain, joint pain, and fatigue, and sometimes, these symptoms lasted for over 6 months.

They then explained:  “The leaf extract of stevia possesses many phytochemicals… with known antimicrobial properties against many pathogens.

Results from this study suggest that a natural product such as Stevia leaf extract could be an effective agent against B. burgdorferi.”

Even though this was a preliminary study, its findings are promising, so it can serve as a basis for further research on the effects of the whole Stevia leaf extract, as it is a potentially powerful natural treatment of Lyme disease.

Sugar Industry Hid Evidence of Links to Cancer and Heart Disease For Half a Century

The sugar industry sat on health risk information for 50 years.

The rise of obesity in almost every country in the world has been attributed to a lack of understanding about the foods that we eat on a daily basis.

The blame however has shifted from high fat foods, which were once thought to be the worst, to sugar.

Many doctors now agree that sugar is worse for you than a high fat or high salt diet, and has been linked to many chronic, avoidable illnesses like diabetes and cancer.

New information has now surfaced which reveals that the sugar industry knew exactly how dangerous their products were in tests found back in 1967, but they buried the facts in order to keep their sugar train going for as long as possible.

Sugar has been found to be physically addictive and people have real and severe withdrawal symptoms when cutting it out of their diet.

Sugar has also been linked to cancer, tests have shown that cancer cells ‘feed’ off sugar and they thrive when in a body which has been fed with a high sugar diet.

The JAMA Internal Medicine have reported how the Sugar Research Foundation was set up in 1967 to test the effects of this new wonder-food.

In the post-war world, high sugar and high calories diets were a novelty, and were encouraged to give people as much energy as possible, something that had not been available to much of the world during the war years.

But the results of the studies conducted were not what the sugar industry wanted to hear.

As PLoS Biology have reported, The Sugar Research Foundation linked sugar to bladder cancerwhen tested on mice and suggested a link between sugar and coronary heart disease. The study was promptly stopped and the results were never published.
