Blake Lively Baked a Cake for Her Son’s Birthday That “Will Haunt Him for Life”

Blake Lively recently combined her witty humor with her baking skills to celebrate her son Olin’s first birthday in a memorable way. During an interview, Lively shared that she made an unconventional birthday cake for her youngest child with Ryan Reynolds—a cake shaped like a pair of breasts.

Lively humorously explained her choice during an appearance on BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball and Friends, joking that the cake might be something her son remembers for life. “What do they want at one?” she mused. “He can’t declare what he wants. So, boobs!”

The host, Zoe Ball, found the idea amusing, agreeing that at that age, babies likely have a strong attachment to their mother’s breasts. Lively also teased that the cake was quite impressive and promised to share a photo later, clarifying with a laugh that she was referring to the cake, not her own.

Lively and Reynolds welcomed their fourth child in February 2023 but had kept details, including the name and gender, private until recently. After months of rumors and playful hints, Reynolds confirmed in a video with a Wrexham AFC fan that their newest child is a boy. Later, at the premiere of his film Deadpool & Wolverine, he shared that the boy’s name is Olin, and expressed his love for his family who were all present.

Earlier, Reynolds had joked that they were waiting for Taylor Swift, who is the godmother of their children, to reveal the baby’s name, referencing how Swift named their daughters in her song “Betty.”
