“You have to be a bitch in order to make a movie as good as you did.”
Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz undoubtedly enjoyed plenty of fun while filming Blink Twice (after all, they fell in love during the process), but it wasn’t all play. Kravitz took her directorial debut seriously, and Tatum shared some candid insights about what it was like on set together, nearly landing himself in trouble.
During a Vanity Fair interview, Kravitz hooked Tatum up to a lie detector and asked him, “The movie, Blink Twice—do you like it?” Tatum responded, “I love it. I don’t like it.” The lie detector confirmed his truthfulness.
Kravitz then asked, “Do you think I’m a good director?” Tatum quipped, “I don’t think you’re a good director, no. I think you’re an amazing director.” This response was also confirmed as truthful.
Turning up the heat, Kravitz inquired, “Would you ever say there were days on set where I was… I don’t know, a bitch?” Without hesitation, Tatum replied, “100 percent,” causing Kravitz to laugh.
Kravitz pressed further, asking, “Do you think I was a bitch because I cared about the project or because I’m just a straight-up bitch?” Tatum joked, “Mm, both… I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” before explaining that being tough was necessary to make the movie as great as it is. Kravitz’s skeptical look prompted the lie detector administrator to confirm Tatum’s honesty once again.
Shifting away from the topic, Kravitz ended with, “Do you love me?” to which Tatum sweetly responded, “I love you so much.”
Despite Tatum’s playful honesty, he showed unwavering support for the project and Kravitz, both professionally and personally. The couple recently made their red carpet debut at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere, showcasing their love in coordinating black outfits. Kravitz wore a stunning Saint Laurent gown, while Tatum donned a classic black suit.
In a video shared by The Hollywood Reporter, Kravitz expressed her gratitude for Tatum’s support, thanking him for everything from producing to holding her during tough moments, allowing her to be “a complete OCD psychopath, control freak.”
