If you were impressed by her smooth salsa steps, it’s no surprise—this wasn’t her first time on the dance floor. Meghan honed her skills back in college, where she was an avid salsa student.

Iris Amador, a former classmate, recently shared a nostalgic photo on Instagram, featuring Meghan and a few others in a salsa class at Northwestern University. Meghan, who graduated in 2003 with a double major in theater and international studies, is seen in the photo wearing a black turtleneck, dark jeans, and a low ponytail.

“Salsa lessons with the future #DuchessOfSussex during our college days. #HarryAndMeghanInColombia #MeghanMarkle #SalsaLessons @northwesternu many years ago!” Amador captioned the post.

Meghan had the chance to show off her moves again on this trip. After fulfilling several commitments with the Archewell Foundation, visiting schools, and leading an Invictus Games training session, Meghan and Harry embraced Colombian culture through dance.

video captured the couple dancing in Cartagena, gracefully moving in sync before sharing a sweet kiss. They looked stylish as ever—Meghan in a white tee and a hand-embroidered skirt by Colombian designer Juan De Dios, and Harry in a blue linen shirt and beige khakis.

Meghan also had an opportunity to brush up on her Spanish while visiting Colegio La Giralda, a public school in Bogotá. She first picked up the language during an internship at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires and while studying abroad in Madrid.
