Their film ‘Unstoppable’ is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month.
Things may be over romantically between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. However, the two are still linked professionally. Amid all the drama and Lopez’s divorce filing, the former couple’s upcoming film Unstoppable may have slipped our minds. The two have to promote the very real movie that’s set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month. Could that mean there’s a public Bennifer reunion in the works?
According to Page Six, a joint appearance is not in the cards at the upcoming festival. Lopez will handle the red carpet in Toronto on September 6, while Affleck stays back in Los Angeles. Lopez stars in the film about wrestler Anthony Robles, and while Affleck and his business partner Matt Damon’s company Artists Equity is producing the movie, the actor does not have a role in the picture.

According to the Daily Mail, some other behind-the-scenes people have been “pushing” the two to “appear together at the premiere in Toronto to create buzz on the film.” Although Affleck will be sitting out this event, it remains to be seen if the two will have to join forces for promotional purposes during the press tour.
Affleck previously spoke about working with his then-wife during an interview with Damon in 2023 when promoting their film Air. “What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend,” he told CBS Sunday Mornings.

Earlier this week, news broke that Lopez had filed for divorce from Affleck on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding celebration. After spending the summer apart, Lopez decided it was “time to move on.”
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work,” a source told People. “It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself.”
